Dr. H. Curtiss Merrick, MD,
founder and
president, is a board certified physician in both Internal Medicine
and Geriatrics. As as internist, he provides primary medical
care to individuals over the age of 21. As a specialist in
geriatrics, he evaluates and treats disorders that commonly affect
patients over the age of 55.
Dr. Merrick is a
member of the active medical staff at
Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina.
Additionally, he serves as a medical director of the Century Care of
the Crystal Coast Skilled Nursing Home in Morehead City.
Dr. Merrick received
a Master of Science in Biology at Old Dominion University.
Subsequently, he earned his Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia
Medical School. He served his internship and residency in
Internal Medicine at the Geisinger Medical Center.
Dr. Merrick is board
certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine by the
American Board of Internal Medicine.
He is a Fellow of the
American
College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Merrick is a member of the
North Carolina Medical
Society and the Carteret County Medical Society.

Dr. Steven P. Greer, MD, is a board
certified physician in Internal Medicine. As an internist, he
provides primary medical care to individuals over the age of 18,
treating both acute and chronic disease.
Dr. Greer is a member of the
active medical staff at
Carteret General Hospital
in Morehead City, North Carolina, where he admits patients who
require inpatient medical therapy. Additionally, he serves as
an attending physician to patients admitted to the Century Care of
the Crystal Coast Skilled Nursing Home in Morehead City.
Dr. Greer received a Bachelor of
Science with distinction at Clarkson University. Subsequently,
he earned his Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
There, he obtained his internship and residency in Internal Medicine
and, in his final year of training, served as Chief Resident in
Internal Medicine.
Dr. Greer is board certified
in Internal Medicine by the
American Board of Internal Medicine.
He is an Associate Member of the
American
College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Greer is a member of the
North Carolina Medical
Society and the Carteret County Medical Society.

Dr.
Christopher J. Murphy is a board certified physician in
Psychiatry. As a psychiatrist, he provides outpatient therapy
and medication management for adult and adolescent general
psychiatric patients.
Dr.
Murphy is a member of the Consulting Medical Staff at Carteret
General Hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina, where he provides consultations for inpatients on Medicine and Surgical
Services who require psychiatric evaluation.
After obtaining a Bachelor of
Arts in Ancient Studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore
County, Dr. Murphy worked as a teacher of Latin and World History in
the Baltimore City Public Schools. Subsequently, Dr. Murphy
earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School
of Medicine. He served his internship in Psychiatry at Pitt
County Memorial Hospital. Subsequently, he completed his
residency program in Psychiatry at the University of Maryland
Sheppard Pratt Health System.
Dr. Murphy is board certified
in Psychiatry by the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Murphy is a member of the
North Carolina Medical
Society.

Patricia R.
McFadyen, M.A., L.P.C., N.C.C., L.P.N.
is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified
Counselor, and a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She received her
Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Guilford College in
Greensboro, North Carolina in 1986. Subsequently, she worked for
Children’s Protective Services for several years. Her interest
in Psychology motivated her to further her education by
completing a Master of Arts in Counseling from from Liberty
University in Roanoke, Virginia, in 1990.
Ms. McFadyen’s
expertise is working with adults, children and families dealing
with Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency, including alcohol
and various drug addictions. She has special interest in
behavioral and learning disabilities, attention deficit
disorder, bipolar and major depressive disorders, stress
management, depression and anxiety. Ms. McFadyen has helped
many people of all ages to overcome difficulties associated with
many of life's challenges. Her therapeutic techniques include
goal oriented treatment plans which are tailored to each
individual’s needs.
